Artist's Description

Vaquero, a beautiful, but troubled, I found out later, SW Colorado horse inspired this watercolor painting. The complex of emotions I felt, but didn't understand, was confusing and disturbing to me while I was doing my best to give him justice in paint. His owner later explained how I had captured feeling in him I didn't really know about at the time of painting. If you are a horse person, the above ramblings will make sense. Enyoy Vaquero, who has been blessed with a new home now where he hopefully will learn to accept peace in a safe, new environment. Blessings.
