Title
Purple Lone Cone Ranch
Artist
Jackson Ordean
Medium
Painting - Water Color
Description
Lone Cone is 20 miles by bird straight out my living room window. I've taken many photos during different seasons, times, conditions. I've also taken many pictures of buildings in the area. This is an 'imagination-scape' in which I've combined buildings, made them up, built and half torn down fences, painted expressive colors, beckoned storms and storm birds. Many such scenes abound around Norwood, Colorado, and this is just one expressive composite swirling out of my mind and memory.

Gorgeous watercolor, Jackson! I love the loose foreground and background in contrast with the detail on the buildings. Colors and composition are wonderful too. I'm envious! :-)) Congrats on your sale! L/F
Jackson Ordean replied:
Thank you, Barbara, for your positive and specific comments. Tony Couch is one of the masters of that kind of loose foreground - you might want to check him out if you haven't already. {;^)

Very nice watercolor......congrats on your sale.
Jackson Ordean replied:
Thanks, John - that was my first one since joining a few months ago. Now I've got some prints sold, too! Enjoyed looking at your work as well, especially in the 'realism' gallery.
