Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Fun & Beauty says my personal banner! Friend Hannah taking a surfing vacation from her lab job in Iowa has come to Doheny, where I learned to surf in Southern California. This is a composite of a pose Hannah sent me along with some variation of my own, and a creative reimagination of a photo of a Doheny wave... but the rider and wave are going in a different, 'goofy foot' direction. I felt really good about my illusion of transparency of water juxtaposed with ripple projected sky reflection. Enjoy!
