About Jackson Ordean
Artist Jackson Ordean has been creating Art Professionally since 1971 continuing to the present. His work in many media is in collections and on walls nationally. Cash Awards, Purchase Awards, Grand Champion, and Best of Show awards, as well as magazine publication of his work, has given Jackson some well earned affirmation, but he is most grateful for the affectionate relationships he shares with his fans and collectors.
Jackson has majored on expressive, colorful Watercolor since about 1990 and that medium, as well as the occasional acrylic, is represented in the collections on these pages. Asked about his work, he said, "Every one of my paintings starts with a feeling about a place, 'artifact', person, or animal...without that initial emotional response, only technique and cold rationality are left! I want my audience to be touched, invited to positive places, and maybe even positive changes, in their own personas as they resonate with my paintings. That relationship with my viewer is every bit as important to me as the creative act itself." Enjoy!
